Summer Love shirt and other critters

When a designer creates a design especially with you in mind, you really can't do anything but take up the challenge. That was the case for me with Kirsten's "Summer Love". Modell's had an oversize shirt that was perfect for Jazzercising and part of a summer clearance for only five bucks. Who could resist? I tried to pick colors that would show up nice. That's always a challenge. The design elements may be a bit small, but I'm pretty happy with the results on this one, although my stitches are never really nice enough on a t-shirt. I've come to accept that!

And for those of you thinking of running away and joining a crochet circus, I have two friends you can join. These are my latest from the Crochet A Little blog:

Oh my goodness, those animals are adorable. And the shirt is great too. I know that the stitches don't come out as well as on linen or other fabric, but the whole idea is just so cute!

Without question, the giraffe is my favorite so far! Perfect! You're too hard on yourself with your t-shirt stitching. There is not a less than perfect stitch that I can see.

Your t-shirt stitching is amazing! That is SO hard to do, IMHO. I made some when expecting Arden and it took forever for my fingers to feel better (poking that needle through the fabric and waste canvas was hard on the poor fingers).

I LOVE your crocheted animals - how cool are they?!

An adorable t-shirt! That design is so cute, and I think it looks just wonderful.

I love your crocheted animals! It's a good thing I don't know how to crochet or our house would have a crocheted zoo living in it!
