Half-way to a Sampler Finish

I thought this little sampler would stitch up much faster than it has. It has tons of different embroidery stitches, and they go much slower than little x's. I have done most of them before, but not for a long time. Plus I did them on needlepoint canvas back in the day, probably on 12-count canvas.

But I'm really having fun with the stitching. I'm using 32-count parchment Jobelan. I always thought I'd hate synthetic fabrics, but I'm loving this.

The sampler is the Mystery Sampler from Anne-les-Petites-Croix. No mystery now since the SAL is long since over. I'm planning to make this as a stitcher's pocket, not a hanging. Now I just have to remember to invert the remaining two sections when I stitch them. I've already done too much frogging and re-stitching on this.

It's looking wonderful. I love doing a variety of stitches myself.
I think I've hit the rhythme of stitch 5 and pull out 3 lately. But we must dredge on. I couldn't think of a better dredgery though. Beats cleaning at least.

This looks lovely, it's nice to do other stitches as well at times even if they do take more time!

I love the design and saved the parts on my computer too.

It looks fantastic!

The stitches can challenging. Usually I muck up the first couple but then, once I find the rhythm, it goes way better.

That is a super cute stitch! I love the colors in it. Isn't it ironic when the things you think will be super fast stitches are the things that seem to go on forever?!

It looks great, Annie. But your work is always just right, so how could it look any different? OK, I will reveal my ignorance. I've never heard of a "stitcher's pocket". I can probably figure it out, but please. I have a very wild imagination!

I saved the charts for that SAL but didn't have any real plans to actually do it. I love seeing it stitched and can't wait to see your pocket when it's finished. It looks great so far!

Lovely work! I saved this one as well - but you know how it goes - too many stitches, not enough time. Can't wait to see the finished pocket.
Hugs!
